I’m so happy to share my latest art collection: Tutti Frutti! Featuring nine original mixed media fruit collages, these works were inspired by postcards I made for a iHanna’s DIY Postcard Swap last year and feature adorable anthropomorphic fruit.

While I didn’t keep all of the elements of the postcards (no stitching, no Gelli Plate backgrounds), I did hand paint all of the cute fruit, collage letters from magazines to spell out the names, and cut out bit of text from vintage books to embellish the Tutti Frutti fruit collages.

I made these fruit collages on canvas panels in two sizes, 8×8 and 9×12. Both sizes can be popped into a ready made frame or display as-is propped on a shelf or hung on the wall (I recommend Command strips).

These colorful, whimsical original fruit collages make a fun addition to a gallery wall, playroom, or kids room!

The background of each piece is composed of collaged strips of pages cut from thrifted & vintage books. Each fruit was painted by me on Bristol paper then cut out and collaged onto the panel. Each collage has lots of yummy texture and is sealed with matte Mod Podge.
My favorite design element of the collages is the text cut from my collection of vintage and thrifted books. I think of the lines of cut text as quirky little nonsense poems and truly enjoy composing them. It’s definitely a labor of love, searching through (usually) a pile of books, looking for just the right phrase to cut out and put completely out of context lol..
I hope you enjoyed this peek into my creative process and the making of the Tutti Frutti Collection🍓🍍🍑 . I hope these little collages bring as much joy to you seeing them as they did to me as I made them. Shop the Tutti Frutti Collection now in my Etsy shop!
